Short version: Viken Tech AS collects nothing.

What stays on your device

Your chats, attachments, generated media, prompts, memory and settings are stored only on your device, protected by iOS Data Protection. Your OpenRouter API key is stored in the iOS Keychain, restricted to this device, and is never synced or included in backups. You can export or erase everything at any time in Settings.

What leaves your device, and where it goes

When you use AI features, the App sends your request (messages, files and the settings needed for that request) directly from your device to OpenRouter (openrouter.ai), which forwards it to the model provider you selected. OpenRouter's privacy policy and the provider's policy apply to that data. By default the App asks OpenRouter to avoid providers that store data, and it can require zero-data-retention routing, but enforcement is up to OpenRouter.

If you turn on web search for a message, search queries based on that message are sent to a search provider (the model provider's own search, or Exa) through OpenRouter. OpenRouter's zero-data-retention routing does not cover web search. Web search is off until you allow it.

Requests don't identify the App

The App replaces the iOS default User-Agent (which would name the App) with a generic one, and sends no app-identifying headers unless you turn on "Identify LLM Deck to OpenRouter" in Settings. OpenRouter can still see which account (API key) made a request and your IP address, like any service you connect to. If you use "Sign in with OpenRouter", OpenRouter can see that the key was requested by this App; pasting a key you created yourself avoids that.

What Viken Tech receives

Nothing. We operate no servers for the App. The App contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, crash reporting or third-party SDKs. We cannot see your messages, files, API key, usage or purchases.

Purchases

The optional Pro purchase is processed by Apple. Your entitlement is verified on your device using Apple's signed transactions. We only receive the aggregated, anonymous sales reports that Apple provides for every App Store app.

Backups

If you allow it in Settings, iOS may include your chats in your own iCloud or computer backups of the device. The API key is never included.

Permissions

The camera, microphone, photo library and speech recognition are only used when you choose a feature that needs them. On-device speech recognition keeps audio on your device.

Children

The App is not directed to children and is intended for users aged 18 and over.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. Everything the App stores is on your device and under your control. For data processed by OpenRouter, model providers or search providers, contact them directly.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always available in the App and at viken.tech.
